Office of International Investment and Trade

The Office of International Investment & Trade (OIIT) provides support to Maryland companies planning to enter new foreign markets or advance export sales. Commerce's International Team also assists foreign companies seeking to establish a U.S. or North American presence in Maryland.​

For Maryland companies, OIIT’s ExportMD Program helps offset the costs of marketing a company internationally. Additionally, OIIT takes delegations of Maryland companies to tradeshows across the globe each year. 

Led by OIIT, Maryland’s Global Gateway Program assists both Maryland businesses and foreign businesses. Global Gateway pairs companies with partnering incubators/organizations to allow the company to “soft land” in a new market abroad.
