Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford Views Hoverbike at Farnborough Airshow

​​​ANNAPOLIS, MD (July 11, 2016) – Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford today toured the exhibit floor at the Farnborough Airshow in Hampshire England, where he surveyed a full-scale model of the Hoverbike. Considered by some as the next generation of drone technology, the Hoverbike is being developed for the U.S. Department of Defense by SURVICE Engineering Co., a Belcamp, Maryland-based defense firm, and United Kingdom-based Malloy Aeronautics, an aeronautical engineering firm, in cooperation with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) and the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC).
