Governor Larry Hogan Announces Maryland's First Business Summit

​Summit to feature top Maryland business, education leaders
 
BALTIMORE, MD (April 25, 2017) – Governor Larry Hogan today announced that Maryland will host its first Business Summit on Thursday, May 18 at the Hilton Baltimore, bringing together Maryland business, education, and community leaders to focus on key issues impacting Maryland’s economy, including innovation and entrepreneurship, the global economy, human capital, and attracting venture capital.
 
Hosted by the Maryland Marketing Partnership, the all-day event will feature remarks by Governor Hogan and other notable speakers, including Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh; BITHGROUP F​ounder and CEO Robert Wallace, Maryland Economic Development Commission Chair and CEO of Sage Policy Group Anirban Basu, and Innovation Village Baltimore chairman Richard May. Kicking off with remarks by Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill, the conference will feature of number of breakout sessions throughout the day that highlight topics like the future of manufacturing in Maryland, transforming higher education through partnerships and innovation, monetizing your business vision, redefining urban centers across the state, protecting your business against cyber threats.
